Called Crane Lodge for a reason - this is what you see from the top of the 90 ft crane that has been on site for 6 months or more. Last week they took the crane down and we spent nearly a half day on tour inspecting (via zoom) the nearly complete project. Another brilliant collaboration with our client Wild Luxury, and construction whiz team Sherocon Constructions. Additional credits to Blakes of Sydney for magnificent joinery detailing & Secret Gardens for magical exterior spaces.
Our Berowra Waters project is cruising to completion. Such an easy process - thanks to a great client, and the A team - Sherocon Constructions and Blakes of Sydney (joiner) - We are looking forward to visiting this fabulous location as soon as Victorians are allowed back into the northern states!
Our lovely Client in Brisbane has kept us in the loop - sending happy snaps of progress on site.

We designed a bathroom and kitchen for a NZ client recently and its just hit the NZ news stands. Quite a masculine tone in this one - very pleased with the results.
Littlewood Project is drawing to completion and we are loving this kitchen - designed back in 2018 - its been a long wait but we hope to have it finalised within a month or two
Our Middle Park house aka Peace Project is almost complete .. waiting on some furniture items and we are looking forward to photographing and sharing soon
One of our first projects was this extension and review of the exterior for a house in Brighton. We went back for a visit this week to look at some follow up work. Nice to see it after time has passed.

This project in Middle Park is finally wrapping up after an epic 5 years. We started this work back in our old practice and continued working with them after a break in the process while the client was relocated for 2 years to Sydney. We are now adding the finishing touches through beautiful furniture and styling details. ... watch this space

Under COVID lockdown we still have managed to make site visits to check on progress... this is our CAPITAL WORKS project due for completion later in the year. Two townhouses, one for the owner and one for sale.
Our Whale Beach project is progressing nicely - the aptly named Crane Lodge is high on a hillside and access for deliveries means palletising everything and 'crane-ing' materials in. The pool which is also under construction is being used as a storage facility on site. Due to finish this winter - we cant wait to share more pics as the project crystalises.
The DIA small to medium practice group meets 5 or so times each year to discuss our offices, best practice and current issues ... Today was the first online meeting and most likely not the last... 26 March 2020

Site visit today to see the 'before' of our newest V-Zug showroom space. The new 1600m2 Winnings showroom will open later this year in Richmond Victoria and our dedicated V-Zug space will be a totally immersive experience.
On a personal note, Amelia Whiting (Carole's daughter, 19) has entered an artwork in the Belle Magazine Art-Start programme exhibiting at the NSW Art Gallery Feb 26. The painting was snapped up early in the evening by a well known Sydney Interior Designer.

On Feb 06 the new E&S was officially opened with much fanfare. Our new V-Zug showroom within has received a lot of great feedback.

In April I travelled to Italy with Paul and Hamish from Hecker Guthrie and Allison Pye on our way up to the Salone di Mobile in Milan. Quick stopover in Rome to tour some architectural gems and then Mantova to visit Agape before the Furniture Fair.

Last week I was invited to go to Hong Kong with a delegation of Melbourne designers to the Business of Design Week Expo. A whirlwind trip but a great outcome - lots of networking and very proud to be associated with the Melbourne exhibition which was by far the most outstanding - Ian Wong's Black Box was a wonderful representation of all that is so good about the Melbourne design story so far.

2016 INTERIOR DESIGN EXCELLENCE AWARDS. Thrilled to be shortlisted for Ogrady, Normanby (Int Dec) Ogrady (Int Des) and V-Zug (Retail) These projects were completed whilst I was Director at Y10. Melbourne In Design kicked off with breakfast at Vzug for Cosentino, brilliant installations by Hub Furniture at James Makin Gallery and Thomas Coward's lightshow at Artedomus. Later, the Luis Parades exhibition over drinks at Hub (with gorgeous new Moroso in the showroom), Dinner at Movida with the charming folk from Artedomus and Agape, followed by breakfast with Cult to launch the new Hay outdoor collection. Phew!
